Crown jewel of the room is the Sixteenth Century fireplace which bears the engraved motto of Louise’s forebears: “Ad principem ut ad ignem – Amor indissolu” – “A love unbreakable, for the Prince as it is for the flame.”
The vibrant colours of the room’s fabrics create an atmosphere embodying the taste and deep character of the last great female personality of Louis XIV’s reign.
Carrara marble, antique mirrors and wood panelling transform the en suite bathroom into a place of intimacy and charm.
